The FireRock goal of their landscape guidelines is to certify the apprised areas in the community are consistent with the natural environment. Part of the goal is to preserve and protect the flora and wildlife of the desert environment. Native shrubs and trees provide shade and also cover for birds and other wildlife. The added advantage is these shrubs and tress have already conformed to the desert climate.
FireRock also wants homeowners to be aware of the current natural landscape and not try to overdo the landscape on their home where it doesn’t blend in with the community. The bulk of your land should adapt to the native plant formations.
If you have further questions on landscape do’s and dont’s in FireRock, please reach out to the Design Review Department at 480-836-4323.
