The goal for Ancala is to promote the uniformity of the homes and natural beauty of the community and environment.
No Lot shall be improved except with a newly constructed residential structure designed to accommodate no more than a Single family, its servants and occasional guests, plus other improvements and structures as are necessary or customarily incident to a single family residence, all as approved by the Architectural Control Committee.
The residential structure on a Lot shall have a minimum improved living floor area of 2,500 square feet, exclusive of basements, garages, porches, patios and accessory structures.

Landscaping shall comply with the native plant preservation regulations of the City and the State of Arizona.
The Ancala Landscaping Requirement starts at the time of or as soon reasonably possible following construction of the residential structure on a Lot but no later than seven months or one growing season after substantial completion of the residential structure, the Lot shall be suitably landscaped. All such landscaping must be approved by the Architectural Control Committee.
It shall be consistent with the character of the native desert environment, except as approved by the Architectural Control Committee,

A Lot, excluding driveways and walkways, which is outside the Building Footprint shall remain natural desert. Supplemental plants and soil may be placed on a Lot only with the prior, written Consent of the Architectural Control Committee and shall be the same as, or similar to, native plants and soil.

Ancala is a private, guard gated, championship golf course community, located just north of the Shea corridor in Scottsdale Arizona.
This course was designed by the Dye Design Group. If you know anything about Pete and Perry Dye designed courses, they are “link style” which in layman’s terms, tight fairways. Another layman term would be “target golf.” Miss the target, long day.
Like most golf courses, Ancala has a driving range, putting and chipping green, and your favorite…practice bunkers. It has a full service golf shop as well as offering junior and adult golf lessons.
Ancala Country Club offers a fitness center, a pool, and tennis. Before or after your activities, head on over to the Overlook Kitchen and Bar. It provides an all day dining menu.
